hi, I run a video production house. I have davinci resolve studio and also use Blender for professional work. so for video and VFX what os you suggest, the Ubuntu or the fedora? especially from davinci resolve point of view. thanks if you can help me out with this decision

I'd love to try this out, especially for gaming! I've been using Mint on one of my laptops and I love it, but I would eventually like to transition from Windows to LMDE on my desktop PC! As long as I can play about 95% of my games, I'd be happy.

I just loaded the Manjaro on my virtualbox in my windows 11, on the phisical computer I am typing, I installed dual boot OS: windows 11+Linux Mint, in my opinion, just play any OS on a virtual machine like vbox, and use the stable one like ubuntu and windows OS for phisical computers.

The latest ubuntu 24.04 has some issues with my machine. The new os shows black screen some times and it blinks the screen any time. I tried to change the desktop environment and installed the ubuntu-mate but the problem still arises. I think that this virsion of ubuntu has some issues with display drivers.

it was one of the distros i was considering after windwos 11 says my gameing pc is not up to spec, but i went with ubuntu gamepack to have all the convenient software for running individual windows/dos and x64 based programs....and with my ryzen 3600/rx5700xt and steam proton cyberpunk runs better then on windows 10. For server use or for a pc for your mom debian is ok, for anything else one needs other distros even if he a noob (should go to ubuntu in that case ) e.g for gaming, developing etc
